[nggallery id=15]This summer we took an early summer trip to Lake Powell in June. Jay and Lori Haden went with us again! We fly to Phoenix leaving on an early a.m. flight, rent a car in Phoenix and drive 4 hours to Page, Arizona. First stop, the local Safeway. It usually takes several carts to get it all out to the car. We definitely eat very well on the houseboat. Then we go to Antelope Point Marina. There are golf carts to carry all of our stuff down the hill to the dock to be loaded on the houseboat. Usually we stay the night at the dock, then get checked out the next morning, and take off.
First thing we do is find our favorite spot to park. We have a couple of spots, so if one is already taken we have another one to go to. We pull into our spot, and then Jay and John set the anchors. Holes are dug in the ground for huge anchors to be set in. Doesn’t take too long, but they definitely work up a sweat!
Now the fun begins……and the relaxation!
